What is a Mentor?

A Mentor is someone who gives up some of their own time and is there to listen to you and support you whilst you are attached to the youth justice service.

They can give you support, help and advice and their role could involve things like:

  • taking you to your meetings with Hull Youth Justice Service
  • helping you find a local club to join such as football, boxing, or youth clubs in your area
  • helping you apply for college
  • helping you to create a CV attending appointments with you that you need support with

You might just want to talk to someone separate from the youth justice service. It all depends on you.

You will meet once a week, for eight weeks. If you need further support this can be continued for a further eight weeks. The length of time you have a Mentor is dependent on your need of support

To get a Mentor, you can contact Chris (Christine).

Phone or text: 07872421690

Email: [email protected]

Or just speak to your case worker and they will follow it up.
