Ann-Marie is 1625 Sheffield’s Education Lead. You can typically find her in education settings such as schools, colleges, and universities across Sheffield, chatting with students, offering information and advice, and facilitating our interactive workshops.

Ann-Marie has been supporting young people for a number of years and cares a great deal about delivering harm reduction messaging to young people to help keep them safe while not compromising on having a good time.

Becks is 1625 Sheffield’s dedicated Team Leader. Beck’s knowledge and experience comes from counselling, community, and drug and alcohol services, where she has led teams supporting young people and adults for a number of years.

Becks spends her time looking after the team in Sheffield, as well as leading on development of the project and building relationships with other agencies. Whilst Becks looks after things ‘behind the scenes’ in Sheffield, you’ll still find her out and about supporting the team with events and activities

Ben is an Outreach Lead with the 1625 team in Sheffield. Ben has been working in people-focused roles for a number of years bringing his skills in engagement to 1625.

Ben is very passionate about all things harm reduction and hopes to continuously empower the people we connect with and promote safety in Sheffield. Day-to-day you can find Ben out and about in Sheffield and occasionally in the surrounding areas providing info and advice.

Beth is 1625’s Team Leader for Derby & Derbyshire. Beth has a wealth of experience in both adult and young peoples drug and alcohol services, and has been with 1625 since the service began.  She initially looked after 1625’s volunteers and students joining us on placement. You’ll find Beth leading and supporting the team, connecting with other agencies and partners, and developing the service across Derby & Derbyshire.

Whilst Beth might be busy behind the scenes, you’ll still find her at events over the summer, and occasionally supporting with 1625s interactive workshops in schools, colleges and universities.

As an Outreach Lead for Sheffield, Helen ventures around the city and suburbs on her bike, chatting to young people and young adults in the community. This could be anywhere from student accommodation blocks to skate parks, offering info, advice, and resources to help keep themselves and their peers safer when it comes to drugs, alcohol and the associated risks.

Helen’s experience in digital interventions inspired her to move her skills to the community, where she passionately advocates for harm reduction with young people and young adults.

 

Jack is wearing khaki green shirtJack – Volunteer Coordinator

Jack is the Volunteer Coordinator for 1625 Outreach and looks after the recruitment, training and support for all volunteers joining the service. Jack has previously worked in volunteer management for a national UK charity and more recently for a students’ union, providing advice and guidance to university students.

Jack is based across Sheffield and Derby, working closely with both teams to ensure volunteers play a vital role in the delivery of 1625 services. You’ll find Jack mostly behind the scenes, but he can also be found out and about supporting the teams with various events and activities from time to time.

 

Kayleigh has shoulder length blonde hairKayleigh – Data Administrator

Kayleigh leads on all things data for the 1625 team, including implementing various data capture methods for events, festivals, outreach and education. Kayleigh’s insights help us to improve the services we offer and support the team with capturing key data. Whilst a lot of Kayleigh’s work is behind the scenes, you’ll sometimes find her supporting at events in Derby, Derbyshire and Sheffield.

Kiara is our dedicated night time economy and events Lead at 1625. With a deep commitment to harm reduction, Kiara specialises in training night time economy and events venues on essential safety measures, such as drug and alcohol awareness, safe word schemes, recognising signs of spiking and identifying an overdose.

Kiara has a background in supporting care leavers and in adult drug and alcohol services. She’s passionate about creating vibrant and secure nightlife environments, and making our communities nightlife not only enjoyable but also a safer space for all.

Lauren is 1625’s services manager. Being responsible for all things 1625 means Lauren is usually found in the office or at events, doing the less exciting, but important ‘strategic and operational’ work.

Lauren has worked with young people and young adults for over a decade. Most of her career has involved working in drug and alcohol services, with a special interest in harm reduction. Lauren leads on Change Grow Live’s work with young adults, and is passionate about improving services for 16-25’s.

Livi is 1625’s Derbyshire Outreach Lead. You will usually find Livi out and about in the county offering advice, information, and resources on harm reduction. Aside from being out in the community Livi can also be found doing drop-in sessions at local colleges and universities, as well as supporting events.

Livi is passionate about making a positive difference in providing informative, non-judgmental advice about drugs and alcohol Livi is always keen to promote an environment where young people can make informed decisions, whilst also providing a safe space to be heard.

Merlin leads on 1625’s education work in Derby & Derbyshire. You will find Merlin in schools, colleges and universities delivering our interactive workshops. Merlin’s background is in drug and alcohol services, where he has worked with young adults experiencing issues for over a decade.

Merlin is committed to keeping young people and young adults safe, and is well known for his enthusiasm and engagement skills.

Patrick leads on 1625’s marketing, whether that is merch, social media, or our leaflets and resource packs. Patrick has worked in marketing for drug and alcohol services for several years, and is passionate about providing support and advice for young adults. Although a lot of Patrick’s work is behind the scenes, you’ll find him supporting at events in Derby, Derbyshire and Sheffield.
