Drug and Alcohol Service - Southwark
Suport for family and friends

Our Families team can help you are worried about a friend or family member. We have advice on how to support them, whether it’s drugs, alcohol or their wellbeing you’re concerned about.
We understand your priority might be supporting your loved one when they are going through a difficult time; however, it is also important to ensure you are being mindful of your own wellbeing. Together, we can look at ways you can continue to be a supportive figure in someone’s life, while taking time to focus on your own wellbeing.

We provide support and practical advice to families affected by drugs and/or alcohol, and work towards overcoming issues like poor communication, lack of boundaries and negative feelings such as frustration, anger and guilt. We will encourage you to plan your own individual support journey and to participate in local networks and other communities that can help develop your confidence and strengthen relationships.
Our service also offers support groups for families, where you can connect with others who might be going through similar experiences.
