What is Individual Placement and Support (IPS)?
Individual Placement and Support is a type of employment support. IPS can help you find job opportunities that match your personal goals.
One of our Employment Specialists will work with you to find paid employment that’s right for you.
Together, we will identify your strengths and skills so you can focus on the types of jobs you are well suited to.
You will have access to:
- One-to-one support with searching, applying, and interviewing for jobs
- Up to 9 months support to find a job and up to 4 months of in-work support
- Jobs that are not advertised elsewhere
- Opportunities for you to meet with employers
- Support to stay focused on getting the job you want
- Help to find work that suits you, whether it’s part-time or full-time
- Help to produce a professional CV
- Access to resources, training and funding
- Help with navigating your benefits to make sure you will be better off in work
- Help to keep or change jobs if you are already working
- Help if you need changes to your treatment provision to help enable you to continue paid work
- Support to maintain your new role alongside your treatment
You can get support from our IPS service if you are:
- Accessing structured treatment at our service
- Interested in securing paid employment
- 18-65 years old
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Committed to achieving your employment goals, and willing to attend regular meetings with us
