How Individual Placement and Support works

We believe everyone is capable of doing some work if they want to, and our service will support you with this.

Our friendly staff are here to help you find paid work that matches your job goals. We will explain to you how the services works and what support we will give you so that you can decide of its right for you

We will:

  • Work with you to help you achieve your employment goals
  • Help you identify your strengths and skills so you can focus on the types of job you are well suited to
  • Support you with job searching and will create opportunities for you to meet with employers.
  • Help you navigate your benefits to make sure you will be better off in work
  • Work with the treatment service to support your recovery.
  • Work with your new employers to help you settle into your role if you want us to

What we offer

  • A support worker who will work with you to achieve your employment goals.
  • One-to-one support with searching, applying, and interviewing for jobs.;
  • Up to 9 months support to find a job and up to 4 months of in-work training.
  • Access to jobs that are not advertised elsewhere.
  • Access to resources, training and funding.
  • Help to keep or change jobs if you are already working.
  • Help to find work that suits you, whether it’s part-time, full-time, temporary or permanent.
  • Support with benefits calculations and benefits issues.
  • Help to produce a professional CV.
  • Help if you need changes to your treatment provision to support you in being able to work.
  • Support to stay focused on getting the job you want.

What we ask from you:

That you’re committed to achieving your employment goals, and willing to attend regular meetings and work with us to meet those goals.
