How we can help

We are here for anyone in the borough of Barnet who is experiencing issues with drugs or alcohol.

Our service is welcoming, inclusive, and accessible to all members of our community. We will work with you to understand your goals and create a plan to help you achieve them. If you require wheelchair access, interpretation in another language (including British Sign Language), or any other adjustments, we’ll do our best to make sure you feel safe, heard, and supported.  If you'd like to find out how we can best support you, please get in touch with us on 0300 303 2866.

We offer:

  • Advice on reducing the harmful effects of substances
  • Medication to help you reduce your drinking or drug use
  • A dedicated team member to help you reach your goals
  • 1:1 and group support options to help you on your treatment journey
  • Access to detox and rehab opportunities

Your first visit

A friendly member of our team will greet you when you arrive. They'll be more than happy to help you with any questions you have.

If you're waiting for a group or appointment, you'll wait in our reception. There are places to sit and leaflets to read. If you'd like, you can bring a loved one for support.

Our service is a non-judgemental, welcoming space. You’ll have the opportunity to attend groups where you can share and listen to people going through similar experiences to yourself.

Needle exchange and naloxone

Needle and syringe programmes are places where you can get new, clean injecting equipment and advice for staying safe. You can also return any used equipment so that it can be safely disposed of.

If you want to access needle and syringe programmes in person, there are a number of options in Barnet. If you see this logo, it means that you can exchange your needles here.

We also offer a needle and syringe programme by post, with the option of discrete packaging, for free. Please ask your keyworker or a member of staff in the needle exchange for the code you will need to access this service.

Some local pharmacies in Barnet offer a free needle exchange service. You can also get naloxone from select pharmacies too.  Find your nearest pharmacy for needle exchange or naloxone below by searching with your postcode.
