About us
We are a free and confidential service for adults (18+) in Liverpool who are experiencing difficulties with substances.
We believe everyone has the ability to make positive changes. We work with individuals, families, carers, and professionals to offer support that’s right for you.
Whether you need one-to-one help, group sessions, or access to medication and treatment, we're here for you.

If you are under 18 and are concerned about drugs or alcohol, you can get support from River Young People Support Service.

How we can help
We offer several different ways to support you around drugs and alcohol:
- Drug and alcohol treatment, including 1-to-1 and group guidance, detox and rehab opportunities, and medication.
- Additional support, including help with employment, health and wellbeing and support for under 18s.
- Support for families and carers who are affected by someone else’s drinking or drug use.
- Training and advice for professionals around the impact of substances and reducing harm.

How to get support from us
You can get support from our service in a few different ways. You can:
- Make a referral using our online referral form. This will give us the information we need from you to start your journey.
- Walk-in to any of our hubs around Liverpool. We are an open-access service, which means you don’t need to make an appointment.

Your first visit
A member of our team will greet you when you arrive. They'll be happy to help you with any questions you have.
They will listen to your story and may ask for some information about your situation, or just ask some questions. Then, they'll explain what your support plan might involve. There isn't anything you need to bring with you to your first meeting; just bring yourself.
You are welcome to bring a friend or family member to support you if you would like to.
