What's on

We have lots of groups and courses at our service. They are a great way to socialise, meet other people in recovery and learn new skills.

Our three-stage community rehab programme is designed to develop personal, social and community recovery capital. Each stage runs over 4 weeks, using CBT approaches to support sustained recovery in the community.

The first stage, Foundations of Change, focuses on motivation, safety and understanding the nature of recovery journeys.

The second stage, Foundations of Growth, becomes more demanding in terms of personal reflection, developing motivation and building resilience.

The final stage, Foundations of Life, has a great focus on community engagement and incorporates elements of Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP).

12:30

This is an open group. 

The café brings recovery into the community. Our Blackburn café runs weekly on a Monday from 12:30pm – 3:30pm at Blackburn Partnership Centre, EH47 7LL. Come along to socialise with your peers in recovery, meet new people and build positive relationships. The café will pause between 2pm and 3pm for a recovery group check-in, a chance to identify how you are feeling and share any challenges or successes with the group.

SMART Recovery provides evidence-based tools and techniques (CBT) to support people to change their addictive behaviour. We concentrate on the present and future through goal setting, we do not focus on past events. This 4-Point Programme aimed at building and maintaining motivation, coping with urges, managing thoughts, feelings and behaviours and living a balanced life.

The café brings recovery into the community. Our Livingston café runs weekly on a Thursday from 1:30pm – 3:30pm at Newyearfield Farm Community Centre, EH54 6TW. Come along to socialise with your peers and build new connections. Option to join us for our SMART Recovery meeting from 2:30pm – 3:30pm.

An external group ran by Lothians and Edinburgh Abstinence Programme (LEAP) from the Recovery Service on Friday mornings from 9:30am.

A therapeutic support group dedicated to empowering women with a focus on compassion. It is a safe and confidential space to explore issues specific to women in recovery, providing the opportunity to learn from each other while improving mental health and emotional wellbeing.

Take your recovery to the next level with Recovery BoxFit. This one-hour fitness class is great way to have fun, build connections and improve your fitness levels. A great way to destress and go into the weekend feeling energised and inspired. Suitable for all fitness levels. Contact your key worker to book your space.
