We provide a supportive psychologically informed environment to help maintain recovery and achieve independence.

The Cedars offers Stage 3 of the recovery programme to people who have achieved a substantial period of abstinence and are looking to return to independent living. We support with practical skills and planning for your life going forwards and encourage people to access volunteering or to return to part-time work. Our support is provided in a semi-structured residential environment with a keyworker, some groups and more.

  • Our service is opposite Canterbury Castle on a busy ring road but we have a car park at the rear. To access our car park, turn off the ring road as if you are going to Aldi. Go past Aldi's car park, then there is a sharp turning into a driveway on the left. Take that driveway, when you get to the bottom follow the drive round to the left and our car park is at the end.

We’re fully staffed from 9am – 5pm on Monday to Friday. For support on Saturdays and bank holidays, please contact our staff at Shepherd House between 9am – 1pm.

Your first visit

When you arrive, you'll be invited to an induction. You will have been allocated a keyworker who will be with you throughout your journey. You can ask them any questions you might have.
