Reaching out for support can be difficult, and you may have lots of questions. We hope you can find the answers you are looking for below. If not, please contact us, we are a friendly service and would be happy to chat with you.
Useful information
You can meet with your keyworker wherever you are most comfortable - this could be at school, your home or a cafe. We would like you to feel as comfortable as possible, so let us know what is most convenient for you.
We are here for you. We think it's great you are interested in getting support for your alcohol or drug use, and there are a variety of ways we can help with this. For example, we can offer one-to-one support, advice and guidance as well as education.
You will be assigned a keyworker who will offer you support, advice and guidance. You will meet with the same keyworker each time, so you are able to build up trust and have a good working relationship. This also means your keyworker gets to know you well and can support you as best they can.
We are a confidential service, so we will not share anything you speak about with us. The only time we would do this is if we felt you were at risk of harm or someone around you was at risk of harm.
If you are over 16, you do not need parental consent to receive support from us. However, we would encourage you to share how you are doing and feeling with trusted people in your life, as this can help with your recovery.
If you are under 16, we would need consent from a parent or guardian. Please don’t worry about this, we know many parents and carers would want to support you as best they can.
You can refer a young person to our service by completing the referral form - see the "Professionals" tab for more information. We also have a community educator who can offer assemblies or training sessions on drugs and alcohol.
