The Domino Effect is an inspiring project created by our Manchester volunteers with lived experience.
Drawing from their personal experiences of addiction and recovery, they have developed this passionate and compelling multimedia campaign. The project aims to raise awareness about the generational impact of addiction and to highlight the positive effects that recovery can have on families, friends and communities.
The campaign, crafted through a series of creative workshops devised and delivered by Inspired Youth, includes:
A moving documentary: This film captures the heartfelt stories of our volunteers, illustrating the challenges and triumphs of their recovery journeys.
A powerful song and music video: Featuring stunning footage of Manchester, this recording celebrates the community and the impact of recovery and the positive changes it inspires.
A series of posters: The posters highlight our volunteers' personal stories of achievement, emphasising the positive effects of recovery on individuals, their families and communities.
The project shows that through self-belief and with the help of support services like Change Grow Live, we can break the generational cycles of trauma and substance use, ultimately improving lives.
We are immensely proud of the artistic expressions and achievements of our volunteers.
Our Volunteers
Our dedicated volunteers were essential at every stage of the campaign. Each of them brought unique stories, perspectives, and personal experiences to the creative process. Their participation contributed to a powerful documentary that captures the essence of their stories, challenges and successes.
