How we’re working with the Hepatitis C Trust in Norfolk

Hepatitis C is a blood-borne virus that can damage your liver. Most cases of hepatitis C in the UK involve people who have injected drugs, including anabolic steroids. As part of the service we offer, blood-borne virus testing is offered to everyone who uses our service. We can also refer you to treatment too.

Charlotte from the Hepatitis C Trust and Kevin from Cambridge University Hospitals brought their Hep C testing bus to our hubs. Throughout the week, they came to Thetford, Great Yarmouth, and King’s Lynn to offer rapid testing to everyone.

Hepatitis C is a disease that is now easily treatable with a course of tablets, with fewer side effects than previous treatments. Taking a test could potentially save your life. We’re proud to do our bit to help Public Health England reach its goal of eliminating Hepatitis C by 2025.

If you want to get tested for hepatitis, or any other blood-borne viruses, speak to your recovery coordinator about booking a test.
