What Black History Month means to me

Written by: Anonymous

Black History Month for me is a time where individuals of African descent can take the time out to reflect on the struggles our forefathers went through to gain our freedom and equal rights.

Black History Month is a time where we reflect and educate others about our culture and history as well as celebrate our freedom.

Black history is not only about the bad times we have been through. It is about the strength, leadership, unity integrity and determination of the people It is about showing our true character.

I have been going to Change Grow Live for over two months and it is the most amazing team I have ever worked in (though I am the “wrong” shade of white).

I did not notice, as I was embraced with professionalism, kindness and love from the first day I walked through the door. I haven’t had any issues with staff. The staff here are amazing. (Shh... don’t let them know until I leave!)
