Worksop Community Event

A group of people at the Nottingham Worksop community event

On Wednesday 30 November we opened our doors for our first community open day at our Worksop Hub.

It's been a long time coming as we were meant to have an open day just before the pandemic began in 2020.

Our new Worksop Hub has been open for our service users since the restrictions of lockdowns were relaxed and we were so pleased to finally welcome people in for a big community event.

Our main aim for the day was to meet people in our local community, provide information about our services and make new connections with our partners who help us provide support.

We had teams from across the County offering advice on things like how to reduce harm, health and wellbeing, detox and aftercare advice.

Volunteers were on hand to talk about the many opportunities we have for others to volunteer their time to make a difference to more people.

Many of our recovery experts have lived experience of recovery services, some started as volunteers with us and have moved on to paid roles.

There is so much opportunity here to get involved, whether you need support right now or if you want to give back following a successful experience of recovery.

We're so pleased to have met so many new people and look forward to a positive New Year of making a difference.
