Sharing our successes

Buvidal turns lives around

Celebrating success stories is something we are proud to do, such as the amazing success we've been having with Buvidal. It's a new type of opiate substitution therapy that some people who use our service are receiving.

Sam Snowden, Substance Use Nurse and Buvidal Lead, and Jackie McVan, Head of Services for Greater Manchester, recently presented the positive outcomes we are seeing with Buvidal to partners from across the pharmacy sector.

With 75% of those receiving Buvidal still engaged in treatment or having successfully detoxed, there is a lot to celebrate! Beyond the numbers, Buvidal is turning people's lives around.

Sam and Jackie shared real stories of people using our services who have been able to access abstinence-based housing, have stopped sex work, and have been cured of hepatitis C, thanks in part to the level of stability Buvidal has helped them to achieve.
